What is Invisalign
Invisalign is a series of clear, removable aligners used to gradually straighten your teeth
- The removable aligners enables you to maintain good oral hygiene
 - As you can remove the aligners you can eat and drink without dietary restrictions.
 - The softer plastic means you won’t experience any mouth sores or soft tissue injuries due to exposed wires or brackets.
 - 3D imaging technology permits you to view each step of the plan, including how you will look at the end of treatment before you start the treatment.
 - Fewer follow-up visits since there are no brackets and wires.

- Straighten crooked teeth
 - Close unwanted gaps
 - Space out crowded teeth
 - Correct protruding teeth
 - Treat some bite problems such as an under or overbite

- The dentist will carry out a full dental examination to ensure that you are dentally fit and healthy
 - A full set of dental photographs will be taken
 - A 3D digital scan of your teeth will be taken
 - The dentist will create a detailed 3D virtual treatment plan to move your teeth safely to the desired outcome
 - The dental laboratory will create a series of customised aligners which will gradually move the position of your teeth

- Each set of aligners is worn for around 1- 2 weeks
 - You should wear your Invisalign aligners for a minimum of 20 to 22 hours a day.
 - It is important to clean your aligners and your teeth after every meal
 - Don’t chew gum or smoke whilst wearing your aligners.
 - See the dentist for a progress review every 4-6 weeks.
 - Once treatment is complete, you will be provided with retainers to wear, to help ensure your teeth do not gradually shift back out of place.
